This is my first audio editor app I’ve tried and it simple and quite easy to understand. Everytime I try to export it, the app ALWAYS crashes. Please fix this because I spent $5 on this and it’s not lettin gme export anything without crashing. Even restarting the computer, like it said to online if it crashes, did not fix this problem
Perfect for my needs
This app was easy to use and perfect for my spliting of track needs. The help sheets are in poor english but that didn't stop me from being able to use them.
Not good
the problem u cannot delete part of songs only split. Cannot choose many songs Have to do one by one. wast. Will be the best if they can come up with imovie like application where u can merge and delete parts of songs and then merge diffferent songs
DO NOT BUY
I just waisted 5 hours editing a playlist for my job and now it will not load from my desktop. Every time I try to "open existing project" the entire application shuts down. I REPEAT! DO NOT BUY! DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY!
corrupt project file LOST RECORDING!!!
I recorded a very import recording of an interview conducted. Not repeatable. I saved the project and it ended up being 2.12 gb. It opens, but there is nothing in the timeline, nothing to export. Nothnig to work with. I am devastated and frustrated. It’s my first time using this software. I trusted in it and it failed me. PLEASE stay away from this software!!!

Don't waste your money purcashing this app. The App crashes, you can't save your work and when you do the app crashes. customer services does not get back to you regarding any issues and you will be able to get a refund.
Just what I was looking for
All the features of this app make it well worth $10.00, Fade in, out, EQ, Compression & many other tools make it worth while for working with old recordings or new..
Easy for the editing impaired
Once my social media person showed me how to use it I was good to go. Did not understand terms but once I did, I am loving it.
Stopped working
I bought this app from the app store a while back. Went to record an audio and set it on record. The cursor moved from left to right but the squiggly lines that show audio did not show. So eventually stopped recording and pressed play and it made a funny clip noise but there was no recording. I closed the app - same thing when reopened. I deleted the app and redownloaded it - same thing. I am really disappointed. Whats goin on with this app????
Very disappointed
We got this to fix some tracks for a talent show, and not only did it never save into a playable file outside of the editor, when we tried to go and work on our saved files some more, it repeatedly crashed and is basically unusable. $10 wasted.
Program Layout was great
The layout of the program is exactly what I was looking for, but found that what I would consider as "basic actions" proved dificult to figure out. Inital review is good, but could use some "user friendly" walkthrough steps.
Great effort but it needs to use Macintosh native selection
Non native selection process is cumbersome and hard to learn. But otherwise this works well.

I have an iMac using Mojave and old software I was using to convert audios no longer worked because it hadn't been updated. This works like a dream. Very happy with results.

Great sound quality!
I bought this software because I needed a way to mix tracks. Unfortunately I cannot let another musician hear my track and record at the same time a new track, etc. What terminology you need to look for when purchasing software for multitrack recording: multitrack recording, audio mixing, audio overdubbing when you do your searches. this app may do these things but I cant figure it out because the instructions are terrible. whats a marker do? hpw does it do it, show me a sample??? the app needs most of its help with its operating manual which is lacking badly. if you pay the 9.99 you can export a stereo track as a bunch of great formats like mp3, wav, mp4 etc. so thats cool. but I don’t think its for you if you want to combine and mix music where the other player can listen through headphones and then add a new track that matches your timing. Thats audio mixing. and over dubbing. But for recording a stereo track at a time its awesome, and the sound quality is way superior to other apps I’ve tried. I was blown away at the quality of my drum set recording! crystal clear sound quality. So I’m exporting that as wav or mp3 into my new app I bought where I will then mix with other musicians. Hope this helps you out. I dont think the free version exports in a bunch of these formats so check that out. later
EASY and INTUITIVE
Quick and easy to learn / use for simple edits
Not good al least for Mojave
This version does not seem to be suitable for MAC Mojave users. You can save the program, but when you want to reopen the program it closes and it is impossible to recover the changes that were made. Many futures, like the filters there are not working, so you can not add effects or any other imrpuvements. The truth is that it is a program that, at least for this version, it does not work and you will loses all what you have done. I save my work exporting what I have done (just let you export to WAV) and that is why I was able to recover my work. It is not worth what was paid for it. You need a new update that allows the user to have everything they say that is in the review.

Great app for students to learn basic music editing.
Basic not worth the money
This app is very basic and not worth the money. I first tried the free "Lite" version. I was hoping that the full paid version at nearly $10 would offer more features. Audacity (which is free) has more functions than this $10 app. The app is overly simplistic and does not offer more than just a few effects to be applied to your edits. I requested a refund through Apple and was told that "this order does not qualify for a refund." In other words, I feel ripped off.
Steaming pile of poo
Spent over an hour editing a podcast in the "lite" version, saving my work religiously throughout. When I go to export, I'm informed that to export files larger than 100 seconds I need to have the "pro" version. Purchase the pro version, go to open my file and....nothing. Keeps crashing the program, and when it does open there's nothing there. The file clearly has audio in it (given it's over 500mb). Don't waste your money.
its super hard to use
the slips are downloaded into different files into your downloads then you hav e to readd them. theres no way to alter like in the same project as youre going. I want my money back.. even if its just 12$ i feel ripped off… save your money… and i just needed it for a PODCAST, the easiest of the things...

Easy to use...Great Software
Great for Sunday Sermons
Easy to use, but you must purchase the full version $9.99 to be able to export a full recording to an mp3 format. I knew a little going in, having recorded and edited solo music performances many years agon using different software, but I am far from an expert. Very simple to edit out speaking stutters, nose sniffs, and audience noise between sentences. All around a great product for not much money.

If you have analog tapes & you want to transfer them to digital on your computer, and that’s all, this is perfect. quite user friendly and affordable
Crashes Whenever Trying to Open Saved Project File
DO NOT GET THIS- It crashes when ever trying to open a saved project file. I just wasted $9.99! Super unhappy!

Big missing feature is the ability to only export selected slices and name them within the app.

increase volume
What a frustrating piece of crap…it is soooo inconsistent..I just needed to increase volume on some mp3s .. sometiimes it accomplishes the task but leaves only one track … (yes I was selecting all tracks) sometimes it will not save the volume increase. Tried it on my IMAC and MACBOOK AIR … It is very , very frustrating to have such a horrible experience with something that should be simple…tried dozens of times… never got it to perform a finished task… not once…
Using Van Halen tracks for example...
Eruption into You Really Got Me, Spanish Fly into DOA, Sunday Afternoon In the Park into One Foot Out the Door, Intruder into Pretty Woman. Combining these tracks into a single project (song) so there is no ‘blip’ or gap between their transition, is a perfectly seamless integration with this application. I know many applications have done this for a long time…just saying this does it easily. More importantly for me, however, OU812, for example, was mastered at a lower amplitude (the word I’m choosing to use) than any of VH’s other releases; I have the LP, casette and CD of this release to prove it. With the Audio Filter Dynamics Processor on this tool you can adjust the gain of an entire track, how ever many db’s you wish, with click of a button: Identical to increasing the analog input amplitude on a casette deck in the old vinyl days. Now when Finish What Ya Started plays I don’t have to turn the volume up or down when it’s right next to a Volbeat track in my mix. Life is Good! I’m sure these features have existed in many applications for a long time but this was the first I have used. I’m old. I just burned my vast CD collection to MP3’s and dealt with the gaps and amplitude fluctuations as a fact of life…not anymore. With this tool it was something I could figure out quickly. My old Denon Casette Deck cost me $400 in 1987. I’m fine spending $10 for this 30 years later.
Doesnt support the function I need
Im looking to layer to audio files over each other, one music and the other a voice recording but i cannot seem to do so withing this app. Bummer.
Most counter intuitive
Most counter intuitive interface. No reply from customer service either. This app is a waste of money and time! Horrible!

Just started using this app today to break up some old audio recordings. User friendly & easy to use. Will update as I use it more.
Pretty Good and Easy to use
This program is pretty simple to use once you get the hang of it. However for what I use it for it would be nice if I could zoom in a little more. Also when I try to insert from the insert tab it doesn’t really seem like it’s doing anything to the audio at all Other than that I’m really digging it! Thanks!

It does more than I know how to do
Sound quality excellent. Instructions lacking. Almost tossed it in trash but then figured out how to make it work. If you know audio terms, then no problem. I don’t know a low pass from a high pass, but I’m learning. The zoom could zoom more than it does. But bottom line is sound quality and it offers plenty of that. I had mp3 and wav that needed to be converted to aif. The volume was too low. I was able to bring all up to too loud. The undo allowed me to fix my goofs easily. Export from one format to another fast and easy.
I wasted a full day on this
Downloaded okay. Instructions on use were sketchy, at best. Finally got what I wanted but the only export option available to me was as a WAV file. Tried numerous WAV to MP3 converters after exporting to my desktop and they all reported errors, so I’m going to guess the Audeio Edit Studio program malfunctioned. Basically, I lost my money and wasted my time.
Ease of Use + Reasonable Price - Can’t go wrong
Does not crash and the advertisement is true to its claims. I am hoping future updates will add effects - normal and apple system effects - so the lazy me will not shuttle from one app to another. Also, I hope the “edit ID3” will include a cell for “lyrics” so that I can place the text for whenever I would like the audiobooks to be supplemented with good old visuals. Having said that, a technologically audio challenge like this reviewer can really benefit trying out this app. Well worth your money and effort. Enjoy!

simple, fast, great!
Terrific in both features and ease of use
I’m not an audio technician. I just need an application that is simple, straightforward, and can transfer an audio message from a speech or performance to my computer and onto a website. Audio Edit Studio is perfect. It does far more than what I use it for but then when I do need to learn something new about it’s features the site has clear instructions and a responsive support team. I’ve been 100% satisfied with this application. It has never crashed or faulted on me over the past year so I know I can rely on it. It is graphically clear, intuitive, and reliable.
Audio muted when opening an existing project
When I open an existing project, the audio is muted. Why? Don’t know how to correct it and I don’t see a FAQs page.
Works….almost
I fist installed the Lite version and was able to add a track to a song (I needed a bit of voice over on a separate track). It worked well, when I wanted to save it, a window popped and said only 100 sec. could be saved in the Lite version, fair enough. I bought the full version. I opened the save project on the Full version and attempted to save and export, but it just keeps on saving the original track, minus the track I wanted to add in the first place. What’s the use then? Please fix this problem, otherwise, software is useless. On the positive, it is very easy to use, intuitive and, if this is fixed, I’d give it 5 stars.
Does exactly what I needed
I was extremely frustrated by trying to edit audio tracks in iMovie to go with a project. (*Frustrated by everything in iMovie!) So I bought Audio Edit. It’s great, it does exactly what I needed it to do. I’m not doing anything extravagant with it, just simple trimming and combining, but that’s what I needed. Very simple layout, and I started using it right away. The developers should proofread their instructions on the PDF, some very clunky language/grammar in there. But the program works great and does exactly what I wanted. Very satisfied.
Easy to use, but not great results
A very simple and easy program to use, but not good for making good cuts. You’re only able to select by the second, not millisecond or note, so the cuts have great potential to sound terrible. I took a risk in purchasing and downloading this app, but it doesn’t have enough attention to detail for what I need.
